About Our Candles
At Evoco, our candles are hand poured in small batches. I chose to work with golden soy wax after 12 months of testing because I believe if gives the cleanest finish of all the plant waxes.
With traditional paraffin wax, the surface maintains a smooth and glassy appearance between burns and is aesthetically more pleasing. However, paraffin wax is not renewable or sustainable and so some sacrifice must be made in order to create eco friendly products. After any burn of your soy wax candle, the surface texture may look slightly rough and develop the odd dimple; this is perfectly normal for any plant wax and will in no way affect the quality or performance of your chosen product.
Candle Care
Evoco’s standard scented candle of 210g net will burn for between 45-50 hours provided you follow our candle care advice:
• always trim your wick to no more than 5mm before each burn
• ensure that your candle burns for a minimum of 2 hours on the first burn and at least until the wax is molten to the edges of the glass. Do not burn for more than 4 hours in any single burn.
• to avoid tunnelling and wasting wax, burn each time until the molten wax reaches the sides of the glass. Ensure you pull your wick straight if your candle appears to be burning unevenly.
• burn away from open windows, other draughts and anything that could catch fire
• ensure your candle is placed on a level heat resistant surface away from children and pets
• never leave your burning candle unattended
• keep the surface of your wax free from debris to avoid secondary ignition
• always leave at least 10cm between burning candles
